Adopt a Dallas Street Dog

Your Future Best Friend Is Waiting

Our adoptable dogs come from the streets of Dallas and into loving foster homes, where they begin their journey toward a better life. Each adoption not only saves a life but makes room for another dog in need.

Adoption Process

Here’s how we help you find and welcome your perfect match.

1. Requirements

Review DSDA policy to ensure you meet qualifications.

2. Application

Submit the online application (no obligation).

3. Meet & Greet

If approved, DSDA schedules a meeting with resident pet (if applicable).

4. Home Visit

If it is a good fit, DSDA will provide a list of supplies and schedule a home visit.

5. Contract

The adoption contract is signed and fee collected at the time of home visit if successful.

6. Home Trial

The 10 day trial allows you and your dog time to transition with full DSDA support.
