Duke, 1 year old & 45 pounds, was rescued from a local shelter after being surrendered by his owners. He came to us with what appear to be thermal or chemical burns down his back and around his abdomen and waist. Thankfully, he’s now in the loving care of one of our incredible medical fosters, and his wounds are healing beautifully!
Despite everything he’s endured, Duke’s happy-go-lucky spirit hasn’t faded one bit. He’s sweet, affectionate, and great with both dogs and kids. We believe he’s a Retriever and/or Poodle mix—smart, social, and eager to please.
Duke will soon be ready to find his forever family! He’ll be happiest in an active household with another friendly dog and parents who are home often to share in his joy and companionship.
To meet Duke in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.
